Church School

Mission:  To teach God's Word by precept and example so that

all may be led by the Holy Spirit to Jesus Christ and fulfill

God's purpose.

"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts

them intopractice is like a wise man who built his house on

the rock."

~Matthew 7:24

The FAME Church School meets each Sunday from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM.

The curriculum from Urban Ministries Inc. (UMI), provides the biblical foundation

for our classes and allows every age to study the same passage through an

age appropriate lesson. Because we value God’s Word we promote Scripture

memorization in each class. We invite you to join us today!

The Preschool Class is designed to provide a loving, welcoming environment

of the Old and New Testaments and how to navigate the Bible for themselves. Students are

encouraged to adopt an active prayer life, both talking to and listening to God, and a personal

quiet time. Classes are dedicated to gaining a Biblical understanding of the significance of

Christmas and Easter and how to share the Gospel of Christ.

High School Class

Teachers: Marcia Jones, Will Witt, Sidney Williams

Grades: 9-12

Class Description: The High School class challenges students through the curriculum and outside materials to apply God’s Word to their lives. Students are inspired to look at the world around them and develop a “God View” of themselves and the culture in which they live.  Students are invited to bring topics and issues from their lives in order to examine them under the microscope of God’s Word. Ultimately, students must realize that they are sinners in need of a Savior and claim Jesus as their Lord!

Encounter Group

Facilitator: Frances Carr

Class Description:

Started over 40 years ago, the Encounter Group focuses on the study of the

Bible, Old and New Testaments, putting into context the relevance of history, culture, social beliefs and religious customs of that time. Discussions, often led by members of the class, center on how the study can be integrated with our daily living and challenges. Other books, illustrations, materials, personal sharing and guest presenters all point toward personal growth, spiritual development and building a lasting relationship with God and His Son Jesus Christ.

Senior Adult Class
